This Buddha sculpture was examined using museum-grade analytical methods, including interior microscopy, macro photography and UV-based surface inspection. The piece is cast in bronze and shows extensive soil adhesion, mineral corrosion and perforations consistent with long-term burial exposure. The modelling corresponds to Burmese sculptural traditions, but the later inscription on the underside complicates the historical context.

This Buddha is cast in solid bronze and shows the deep, natural surface corrosion that occurs only after many decades of exposure to soil and moisture. The thin-walled construction is typical of older Southeast Asian bronze casting, and several collapsed wall sections reveal genuine metal degradation rather than any modern artificial aging.

The surface displays compacted soil, mineral accretions, and layered corrosion products—clear evidence of long-term burial. Despite the damage, the sculpture retains its presence and character: a raw, archaeological object with strong visual impact.
