Standing Large Tara Bronze
Description
This impressive standing figure of Tara, goddess of compassion and protection, is finely cast in solid brass and stands 78 cm high. The serene face, flowing robes and elongated hands in varada- and abhaya-mudra express both generosity and fearlessness.
The piece shows natural surface oxidation and minor age wear, consistent with mid-20th-century Tibetan or northern Indian workshop production. The tall backplate with stylized lotus leaves enhances the vertical presence and sacred symbolism of the goddess.
Created for temple or household devotion, this statue combines artistic refinement with quiet spiritual dignity.
