This bronze sculpture depicts Tara, the female bodhisattva associated with compassion and protection in Himalayan Buddhism. The figure is shown standing, with a raised hand gesture and balanced proportions, wearing a crown and jewelry characteristic of traditional Tara iconography. The sculpture is hollow cast in bronze with a closed base plate, a construction method typical of older Himalayan bronzes.

The surface displays a naturally developed dark patina with areas of copper oxidation and visible wear on protruding elements, consistent with prolonged age and handling. Minor scratches and surface abrasions are present and should be regarded as evidence of authenticity rather than later intervention. Based on stylistic features, material, and construction, the sculpture is dated to the 18th–19th century and represents a genuine example of Himalayan Buddhist bronze work.
