Description

Authentic Pair of Bronze Buddha Heads – South India, ca. 1880–1920

Bring a touch of spiritual heritage into your space with this genuine pair of handcrafted bronze Buddha heads, originating from South India and dating to approximately the late 19th to early 20th century (ca. 1880–1920).

Each head is cast using traditional techniques, with subtle stylistic differences—one featuring a coiled ushnisha (topknot), the other a smooth, crownless dome. These represent regional interpretations of the Buddha’s iconography. Both heads display elongated earlobes, gently downcast eyes, and a calm, meditative expression.

  • Material: Bronze (solid cast)

  • Combined Weight: 700 grams

  • Dimensions:

     • Head A: 13.5 cm high × 7.5 cm wide

     • Head B: 9.5 cm high × 7.5 cm wide

The surfaces exhibit a naturally aged patina with minor wear, oxidation, and subtle casting irregularities—clear signs of pre-industrial, handcrafted origin. No evidence of modern reproduction methods.

A meaningful addition for collectors of Buddhist art, meditation interiors, or those seeking authentic spiritual décor with history and soul.
