Description
South Indian Bronze Vishnu Statue – Handmade, 4-Armed (29 cm)
This bronze statue represents Vishnu, one of the central deities in Hinduism, shown here in a classic South Indian form with four arms holding his divine symbols: the chakra (discus), shankha (conch shell), gada (mace/staff), and an open palm or ritual object.
The statue is handcrafted using the lost-wax casting method (cire perdue) and is mounted on a square pedestal base. The underside is fully open and shows natural oxidation, confirming traditional casting and internal patina formation. This piece is stylistically aligned with the South Indian Vaishnavite tradition and is likely made between 1960 and 1990.
