Tibetan bronze Buddha from the early 20th century (ca. 1900–1930), seated in Bhumisparsha mudra, the gesture of enlightenment. What makes this figure distinctive is the robe covered with hand-engraved floral motifs, a decorative style commonly seen in Tibetan and Sino-Tibetan bronzes from this period.

The flowers were worked into the metal by hand after casting, giving the robe a lively texture and subtle variations in tone. Combined with traces of worn gilding and a naturally aged surface, the sculpture shows the character of traditional workshop craftsmanship rather than modern production.

A strong early 20th-century Tibetan devotional sculpture with a beautifully decorated robe and calm meditative presence.
