Hand Carved Wooden Mask – Nepal – Elongated Dark Wood Face

This hand carved wooden mask from Nepal features a distinctive elongated head with narrow proportions and a strong vertical facial structure. The face is dominated by a straight central ridge forming the nose, small horizontal eye openings and a deeply carved oval mouth.

The mask was carved from a single piece of dark hardwood. The surface shows clear marks from traditional carving tools, giving the object a raw and authentic character. The dark brown tone of the wood has developed naturally over time, creating a warm aged patina.

The mask retains a slightly curved form that follows the natural structure of the wood. A simple cord attachment remains on both sides, indicating how the mask could originally be worn or suspended during local ritual or festival use.
