Complete Set of Chinese Ceramic Figures – Fu, Lu, Shou
Description
This is a rare, handcrafted set of the revered Three Star Gods – Fu, Lu, and Shou, representing the core values of Chinese life: happiness, prosperity, and longevity. Made in Jingdezhen, China’s most famous ceramic center, this glazed earthenware trio dates from the late Qing to Republican period (circa 1900–1940) and carries immense cultural symbolism.
Each statue is individually molded and painted:
Fu, the god of happiness and family, holds a child and lucky Fu disc.
Lu, god of prosperity and success, carries a ruyi scepter and is flanked by a deer, symbol of rank and abundance.
Shou, the deity of longevity, rests his hand on a peach of immortality, while a crane stands beside him – a powerful Daoist emblem of eternal life.
Their unique hand-finished expressions, natural glaze aging, and presence of an original interior workshop seal confirm their artisanal origin. These are not mass-produced figurines, but finely crafted ritual pieces, likely created for a respected household or ceremonial space.
Their symbolism makes them perfect for:
Wealth and prosperity attraction (Lu)
Protection of health and life (Shou)
Enhancing joy, fertility, and peace at home (Fu)
This set is ideal for collectors, interior stylists, and feng shui practitioners. In excellent vintage condition, without restoration, and structurally complete.
