A powerful, old Chinese Buddha in Bhumisparsha mudra (earth-touching gesture), cast in iron—an uncommon but historically documented medium in provincial workshops. The figure retains original gilding remnants (leaf gilding) over a reddish bole and shows a naturally developed patina with age-consistent oxidation.
