Bronze Ram Darbar Sculpture – Rama, Sita, Lakshmana & Hanuman (India, 20th c.)

Description

This devotional bronze sculpture features the complete Ram Darbar ensemble: Lord Rama standing with bow in hand, flanked by his consort Sita and loyal brother Lakshmana, while Hanuman kneels in reverence at their feet.

Originating from India and crafted in the traditional lost-wax method, this piece reflects classical Hindu iconography with precise attention to posture, ornamentation, and symbolic gesture (mudras). The reverse is flat, indicating intended placement against a shrine wall.

Patina development and base finish suggest an age range from the mid to late 20th century (circa 1960–1980), with no signs of modern reproduction techniques or synthetic patinas. The sculpture weighs approx. 500 grams and measures H 11.7 cm x W 9.2 cm, making it suitable for both altar and shelf display.
