Microscopic inspection reveals how the gold has fused with the lacquer over time, resulting in a stunning, authentic craquelure pattern that cannot be artificially replicated.

Significant Detail: The Consecration Hole A striking feature of this piece is the deep, vertical shaft in the base. In Burmese Buddhist tradition, this cavity served to hold sacred scrolls, gemstones, or silver rolls during the consecration ritual. This detail, along with the natural radial shrinkage cracks in the timber, confirms the ceremonial provenance of the object.
