This bronze statue depicts Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu deity revered as the remover of obstacles and the patron of wisdom and prosperity. He is shown seated comfortably on a lotus throne, his rounded body adorned with necklaces, armlets and a detailed crown. The elephant head is modeled with expressive eyes and large ears, while the long trunk curves down toward the sweets held in one of his hands, a symbol of abundance and reward.

The deity is represented with four arms holding traditional attributes, including a ritual axe used symbolically to cut through ignorance and a bowl of sweets known as modak. Near his feet sits the small mouse, Ganesha’s traditional companion and vehicle, carefully carved at the base. The lotus pedestal is decorated with finely engraved patterns that continue around the entire base, giving the sculpture a lively and refined appearance.

The surface shows a deep, naturally aged bronze patina with softer highlights on raised areas where the metal has gently worn over time. The details of the garments, jewelry and lotus base were enhanced by hand engraving after casting, a technique often seen in Himalayan workshop bronzes.
